Thanksgiving… a poem
23 November 2006I just had to share this Thanksgiving day poem written by my 7 year old son… I want to cultivate and encourage all forms of creativity…
Thanksgiving
Yellow Red
Sweet Pie Thankful
Potatoes Turkey
Eating Making Playing
He had a good day. He made his first pumpkin pie (with some minor help from me and his younger brothers).
Ok, one of our family traditions: we go around the table and everyone has to say 3-5 things they are thankful for. We read Psalm 100.
Cultivate your attitude of gratitude all year long:
- I am thankful for life
- I am thankful for provision
- I am thankful for purpose
- I am thankful for passion
- I am thankful that I can make a contribution
- I am thankful for my gifts and talents
- I am thankful for the love and support of my family
- I am thankful for health

- I am thankful for all of you
- I am thankful for my redeemer
