Hello fellow mediators!
Do you think your practice could benefit from some good ol’ fashioned “pr” — public relations, getting your name, story or quote out there in media outlets?
I am just about finished with the Mediation Biz Success Action Plan — what started out to be a “little action plan” to assist people who purchase the Mediation Biz & Marketing Success System (www.mediationmarketingsecrets.com).
Well, let’s just say that the “little action plan” is now over 40 pages of pure practice building mastery.
One of the topics I was just finishing writing about is PR. Effectively using the press to get “free” exposure to you and your business is an excellent way to get the word out. The beauty of the internet is that today it is not as difficult as one might think to connect with media outlets.
One of the expert mediators that I interviewed in connection with the project was Dr. Tammy Lenski of MediatorTech.com. Tammy is a mediator and also an early adapter of new technology (and she enjoys all this tech stuff that I don’t have the patience for…)
Anyway, we did an interview about how to leverage technology to build your practice. It is a bonus interview you get in connection with the Success System audio interviews of 8 worldclass mediators.
Tammy’s interview was fantastic. Tammy has a great blog over at MediatorTech.com you should check it out. Tammy recently has experimented with using an online service to distribute a press release and she has blogged about her experience. She did something really creative which I think you should take a look at… http://mediatortech.com/print-press-releases-are-so-yesterday/
then let’s discuss it in the next post… what are some strategies that you could use to leverage pr to get known in your niche?
Check out Tammy’s creative PR effort at http://mediatortech.com/print-press-releases-are-so-yesterday/
Your partner in peace,
Kristina Haymes
